Beta Bequin was a pariah blank made by the Cognitae who carried the name of Alizebeth Bequin into the Queen Mab and City of Dust wars on Sancour.
She awoke within the schooling of Maze Undue and later broke from the influence of Lilean Chase’s Cognitae. Across Pariah and Penitent, she established which of Gregor Eisenhorn and Gideon Ravenor still answered. The City of Dust conflict mirrored that of Queen Mab, and in doing so complicated the question of her identity.
Sancour remains her principal location. Beta is the Bequin whom the Cognitae built, and the Inquisition inherited the dispute over that identity.
