Admiral Spire

Admiral Spire is the Imperial Navy officer the Gothic War refused to let stay retired, a fleet commander who learned to hunt Chaos ships in the dark between worlds and then got called back when Abaddon tried it again. Battlefleet Gothic still files some of its miracles under his name.

He has since been pulled into later wars, including work with Ynnari over a Spirit Gate the Thousand Sons should not have had, because the Navy keeps needing someone who treats a void engagement as a conversation with guns. Flag officers like him are not supposed to become legends. The Gothic Sector did not get the memo.

Spire's habit is simple: the fleet that is still there at the end was the one that listened.
