Cyrus is Scout Sergeant of the Blood Ravens Tenth, a Deathwatch veteran who treats stealth as a theology and Kaurava as a word he will not say twice. He trained the Chapter's initiates to vanish. The Aurelian Crusades used him as the man who already knew what Tyranids do to a world that is not ready.
He fought on Calderis and Typhon, argued tactics with anyone still breathing, and lived long enough to watch Kyras's lie come apart. Boreale's disaster in the Kaurava System is the lesson he issues to recruits without naming the captain: do not spend the Chapter on a speech.
Cyrene was a recruiting world before it was a warning. Cyrus still puts scouts on the ground because someone has to, and because the Blood Ravens cannot afford another generation that only knows how to charge.
