Baron Sathonyx

Baron Sathonyx, styled the Lord Hellion, is a former noble of the Kabal of the Slashed Eye who commands the outcast Hellion raiders of Commorragh. His exile began when he brought a captured Farseer—an Aeldari seer—before the court. Archon Cythrax declared the act a threat to the house and imprisoned Sathonyx within the depths of Commorragh. Sathonyx killed his jailers, escaped into the city, and posted a bounty upon his own head that remains uncollected.

During the following year, Sathonyx gathered exiles and rebels, then crippled Cythrax’s house from a skyboard—a personal anti-gravity craft. His lieutenants remain unaware that he lined his coat with the bones of the captured Farseer. By scattering these remains in blood, he divines obscure glimpses of the future, allowing him to stay consistently one raid ahead of the Trueborn, Commorragh’s noble-born caste.

The Hellions maintain their allegiance to Sathonyx, following the discarded noble who returned to strike from above. In contrast, the Kabal of the Slashed Eye has failed to recover from his retaliatory campaign.
