The Visarch

The Visarch is Ynnead's sword and Yvraine's chosen blade, a Biel-Tan Dire Avenger Exarch who broke his Path to follow a student. He was Laarian Starspeaker of the Silvered Blade until Yvraine left for witchcraft, exile, and Commorragh. He followed her into the Dark City, killed an Incubus klaivex for the Coiled Blade, and put on a new name.

He got Yvraine out of Commorragh, stood with her on Kalisus, and fought through Ultramar after Cadia died. Shalaxi Helbane almost ended him on Iathglas; the Yncarne answered that almost. Harlequins have already marked him as the one who will betray her. He keeps standing in front of her anyway.

Asu-var is the Crone Sword in his hand. Bel-Anshoc plate is older than the Fall. The Visarch is what a warrior becomes when loyalty outlives the shrine that taught it.
