Nomus Rhy'tan

Nomus Rhy’tan is a Chaplain of the Salamanders Legion, serving as a spiritual and disciplinary officer during the Horus Heresy. As a Chaplain, he held responsibility for the moral and martial conduct of his battle-brothers, a role that within the Salamanders Legion was closely bound to the Promethean traditions of the Legion’s home world, Nocturne, where fire and the forge held both practical and religious significance.

Rhy’tan’s recorded service places him among the officers of the XVIII Legion during the opening campaigns of the Horus Heresy, the civil war that divided the Space Marine Legions following the rebellion of the Warmaster Horus. He is recorded as having taken part in the Legion’s efforts following the losses inflicted upon the Salamanders at Isstvan V, including the search for Primarch Vulkan after the primarch’s disappearance during that period.
