Cassian Dracos, once Lord Commander Cassian Vaughn, led the Eighteenth before Vulkan and was entombed in the Dracos Revenant after an Ork war broke him. At Isstvan the Dreadnought still walked. Later he walked out of other people's wars with a prophet's stubbornness, a machine that remembered being the Legion's master and refused to become only a gun.
He survived the dropsite, survived the years of hiding, and on Nocturne became a problem of faith: a relic that would not stay in a reliquary. The Promethean Creed has room for fire. It has less room for a former Lord Commander arguing from a sarcophagus.
He went into Nocturne's desert and did not come back on anyone else's schedule. Some say he still walks. The Eighteenth has always liked a legend that smoulders. Dracos is the one that came with a chassis.
