Zeph Mathuin

Zeph Mathuin was a bounty hunter who served Ravenor as an armed enforcer, using a mechanical limb that doubled as a weapon. He came from the same trade as Harlon Nayl. He regarded Inquisitorial work as a contract, though with clients less agreeable than those of his earlier profession.

During the flect case, Mathuin undertook the close-quarters fighting so that Thonius was not required to. The hunt ended with an engagement against a daemonhost, in which Mathuin was killed. Nayl took the death personally.

Ravenor filled the vacancy Mathuin left among his muscle, but did not replace the man himself. Mathuin’s mechanical limb is the kind of relic that a warband preserves without enshrining it in a chapel.
