Zeph Mathuin

Zeph Mathuin was Ravenor's gun-hand, a bounty hunter with a mechanical limb that doubled as a weapon and a habit of standing in the door until the door lost. He came out of the same rough trade as Harlon Nayl and treated Inquisitorial work as a contract with worse clients.

On the flect case he did the close violence so Thonius would not have to. The daemonhost work at the end of that hunt killed him. Nayl took it personally, which is how Nayl files everything.

Ravenor replaced the muscle. He did not replace the man. Mathuin's gun-limb is the kind of relic a warband keeps without putting it in a chapel.
