Bragg

Bragg is an Ogryn auxiliary of the Imperial Guard who serves alongside the Tanith First and Only, the regiment commanded by Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt. As an Ogryn, he belongs to the abhuman stock that the Imperium raises for heavy infantry work, and he is one of the few members of that stock to be counted among the Tanith ‘Ghosts’ during the Sabbat Worlds Crusade. His homeworld is not established in the material reflected on this site.

Bragg is recorded as joining the Ghosts in the period following the Siege of Vervunhive on Verghast, after the Tanith had already lost their home world in the Burning of Tanith. From that point he serves as a heavy-weapons specialist within the regiment and shares in its later campaigns across the Sabbat Worlds. His closest ties are to Colonel-Commissar Gaunt and the Tanith troopers with whom he fights; the finer details of individual friendships and rivalries are not set out here, and accounts of his service differ in emphasis.

His standing is that of a long-serving and trusted member of the Ghosts rather than an officer, and he is generally regarded as active with the regiment in the latest period recorded. On the Orrery timeline he is bound chiefly to the Sabbat Worlds Crusade and to the Tanith First and Only, whose contemporaries include Gaunt and the other Tanith veterans of Verghast.
