Agun Soric led a Vervunhive scratch company before the Ghosts gave him a sergeant's stripes and a second war. The miner from Verghast became one of the regiment's rocks, then started hearing things the Departmento would rather a Guardsman did not hear.
He hid the psyker gift while it was still useful, got sanctioned when it was not, and kept slipping the Ghosts warnings they were not supposed to have. The Black Ships took him off the line anyway. Only in Death is the book where the luck runs out in uniform.
Some voices in later campaigns still sound like Soric. The Administratum does not file those under recovered personnel.
