Nona Criid is recorded as a child taken in by Guardsman Tona Criid during the siege of Vervunhive on Verghast in the Sabbat Worlds Crusade.

Vervunhive endured sustained assault during the Verghastite campaign of the Sabbat Worlds Crusade, a period in which large numbers of hive civilians were killed, displaced, or orphaned. Tona Criid, then serving among the Guard forces engaged in the hive’s defence, took in surviving children amid the fighting, and Nona Criid is named among those informally fostered in this manner.
