Daur

Daur is a Verghastite officer absorbed into the Tanith First-and-Only regiment of the Imperial Guard after the siege of Vervunhive.

Before his transfer, Daur served as a militia officer defending Vervunhive, the principal hive city of the industrial world Verghast, during its siege by Chaos-aligned forces. Following the city’s relief, Imperial authorities merged surviving Verghastite militia units with the depleted Tanith First-and-Only, a Guard regiment drawn from the destroyed world of Tanith and led by Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt. Daur was among the Verghastite officers retained and commissioned into the reconstituted regiment, subsequently commanding a company composed largely of former Vervunhive personnel as the unit deployed through further campaigns of the Sabbat Worlds Crusade, the sustained Imperial offensive to reclaim the Sabbat Worlds sector.
