Playing Patience
Playing Patience is the event at Eustis Majoris in which Patience Kys entered Ravenor’s warband while retaining the alias under which she fought. It marks the beginning of her path into the warband and left that alias unchanged. The event took place in the Eustis Majoris area. Kys, a telekinetic, was in a corrupt scholam when Ravenor removed her from it. He then gave her work that called for the use of kineblades rather than for a real name. The area absorbed her into that work, and she operated under the alias throughout. The capital retained Kys as an operative. Her true name remained concealed, and the event did not alter the alias she used. Playing Patience is therefore recorded as the origin of her service in Ravenor’s warband, not as a change of identity.
