Koriel Zeth was Magos of Magma City, the Martian priest who built an independent forge in a volcano and tried to keep knowledge wider than Kelbor-Hal's schism would allow. She backed the Loyalists in the Martian civil war with the stubbornness of someone who thought an Akashic reader could outrun a religious coup.
The Taghmata stormed her city. Magma City fell. Zeth died in the work rather than hand the forges to the fabricator-general who had decided Mars should kneel to Horus. Dalia Cythera and the rest of her circle were the legacy. The lava was the tomb.
Mars still runs on people like Zeth and then spends them. She is the Heresy-era reminder that the Mechanicum's civil war was not an argument about paperwork. It was a city in a volcano choosing a side and burning for it.
