Mars

Mars is the principal forge world of the Adeptus Mechanicus and the seat of the Fabricator-General. Factories and hive-spires cover the rust-red surface, while the equatorial Ring of Iron builds and docks the ships of Battlefleet Solar. The Schism of Mars split the Mechanicum in the Horus Heresy, and the planet has been hit again in later millennia, including a suicidal Necron raid on the Noctis Labyrinthus. The Emperor bound Mars by treaty beside Luna and Terra; Kelbor-Hal’s Dark Mechanicum tore the forges in the Schism while Ferrus Manus walked its yards, and Belisarius Cawl still works the Red Planet’s vaults for the Indomitus age.
