Camulos

Camulos was the princeps, or commander, of the Imperator Titan Aquila Ignis within the Traitor Titan Legion Legio Mortis on Mars. Recognised as an engine-killer, he deployed the legion’s largest class of war engine in support of Kelbor-Hal’s schism. Camulos prosecuted this campaign in accordance with established Legio Mortis doctrine, occupying and bombarding urban centres until their defences collapsed.

During the assault on Magma City, Koriel Zeth discharged lava into the combat zone. As Camulos advanced into the industrial foundry to secure it, the flood of molten rock submerged Aquila Ignis, drowning both the princeps and his engine. This loss deprived Legio Mortis of an Imperator Titan and eliminated any remaining excuse on Mars to describe the war as a mere disagreement.

The submerged war engine became a tomb rather than a captured trophy. Legio Mortis preserves the event in its history as an act of martyrdom. Conversely, loyal forges cite the engagement as demonstration that volcanic magma overcomes Titan-grade void shields—protective energy barriers—and destroys the command throne regardless of the engine’s scale.
