Colchis

Colchis was a desert world of the Warhammer 40,000 setting, three times the size of Terra, and the site of Lorgar’s Covenant theocracy. Its churches, organised under the Covenant, later turned to the worship of Chaos.

Kor Phaeron and Erebus figured in the leadership of the Covenant theocracy. Argel Tal was among the Word Bearers raised in its temples. After the Horus Heresy, during the Scouring, Guilliman’s Ultramarines destroyed the planet with cyclonic torpedoes, and its geology broke apart.

The Inquisition continues to treat the site as a guarded secret. Colchis thus connects Lorgar’s theocracy, the Word Bearers’ origins in its temples and the Ultramarines’ later destruction of the world.
