Jarulek was a Word Bearer who learned the trade as acolyte to Sor Talgron in the Terra sabotage and the Percepton burning, then took the 34th Host as Dark Apostle once the Legion needed men who could preach with a knife. Colchis had made him. The Heresy promoted him.
He spent the later millennia as a true apostle of the 34th, the kind of preacher who treats a planet as a congregation that has not yet screamed. Tanakreg was supposed to be another conversion. The Necrons there disagreed in the old way, with Gauss and no interest in sermons.
Jarulek died on that world, an apostle killed by a species that does not bargain with gods. The Word Bearers lost a Host's voice. The Necrons did not record the sermon, which is as close as they come to contempt.
