Jarulek
Dark Apostle of the 34th Host, Acolyte to Sor Talgron
Also known as Dark Apostle Jarulek
Homeworld: Colchis
Jarulek was a Dark Apostle of the Word Bearers, leader of the 34th Host, who was killed by Necrons on Tanakreg. A product of Colchis, he trained as an acolyte under Sor Talgron and took part in the sabotage on Terra and the burning of Percepton during the Horus Heresy.
The Legion then required commanders who could preach and also fight, and Jarulek took command of the 34th Host as its Dark Apostle. In the millennia that followed he remained the Host’s spiritual leader and treated each world it reached as a population to be brought to conversion by force as well as by sermon.
Tanakreg was intended to be one such conversion. The Necrons there did not respond to his preaching and opposed the Host with Gauss weaponry, and Jarulek was killed on the planet. His death deprived the 34th Host of its Dark Apostle. The Necrons made no record of his sermons.
