Sor Talgron

Sor Talgron was a Word Bearers captain who sabotaged Terra before the Siege, burned Percepton in phosphex, and took the Dark Apostle's crozius once sermons needed a bigger fire. Colchis made him devout. The Heresy made him efficient, which is worse.

Fafnir Rann killed the man. The Legion stuffed what remained into the Warmonger, a Dreadnought that kept preaching with a siege gun. Even that ended: Talgron died properly on Boros Prime, apostle and chassis together, a sermon that finally ran out of ammunition.

The Warmonger name outlived the flesh by a few ugly centuries. It did not outlive Boros. The Word Bearers still tell it as martyrdom. The Imperial Fists remember Rann's kill and let the later wreck be someone else's problem.
