Hyperion

Hyperion, known as Bladebreaker, is a Grey Knight of the Eighth Brotherhood who broke Angron’s Black Blade on Armageddon. Formerly a boy named Zael, he is a psyker, a person with innate psychic ability. He served in Squad Castian, the remaining members of which were killed by the Daemon Primarch.

His conduct in the First War for Armageddon earned him the respect of the Space Wolves. During the Months of Shame he was present on Fenris when Grimnar killed Inquisitor Kysnaros aboard Corel’s Hope. He was subsequently obliged to reckon with what the Inquisition had asked the 666th to do to the survivors.

Hyperion returned to Titan after these events. His recklessness had previously barred him from the Augurium on one occasion. After Armageddon, the Chapter found a use for a knight who had broken the sword of a Daemon Primarch yet continued to question subsequent orders, and he continues to serve in that capacity.
