Faffnr Bludbroder

Faffnr Bludbroder is a Space Wolves warrior of the Rout, recorded among the Space Wolves’ contingent at the Siege of Terra. He belongs to a tradition of Fenrisian legionaries whose deeds are preserved chiefly through their part in the Space Wolves’ defence of the Imperial Palace during the closing battles of the Horus Heresy, rather than through any extensive independent account.

Little is recorded of Faffnr Bludbroder’s life before the Rout’s mustering for Terra. Later tradition places him among the Space Wolves companies drawn from Fenris who answered the Great Wolf’s call as the Warmaster Horus closed on the Throneworld, fighting alongside the Legion’s packs in the defence of the Palace precincts. Accounts differ on the particulars of his service, but he is consistently remembered as a companion of the Rout during this period rather than as a commander in his own right, his name preserved through the deeds of the wider Fenrisian host with which he fought.

Faffnr Bludbroder’s standing rests on his association with the Space Wolves’ Siege of Terra tradition, a body of lore that binds Fenris, as the Legion’s home world, to Terra as the site of the Horus Heresy’s final battles. He is remembered as a contemporary of the Space Wolves who mustered under Leman Russ for that defence, his story a minor but attested thread within the broader account of the Rout’s stand at the Imperial Palace.
