Bran Redmaw

Bran Redmaw is a Wolf Lord of the Space Wolves, leading a Great Company amid packs of Fenrisian Wolves. Named for the blood that stains his muzzle-guard in close combat, he is reckoned among the more feral of the Chapter’s captains, a warrior in whom the wolf-kinship at the heart of Space Wolves tradition runs unusually close to the surface.

Like all Space Wolves, Bran Redmaw was taken as a youth from the tribes of Fenris and reforged through the trials of the Aett before rising, over generations of war, to command his own Great Company. He fights not merely alongside his Astartes packmates but among the true Fenrisian Wolves of his home world, entering battle at the head of animal packs that answer to him as readily as his battle-brothers do, a trait that sets him apart even within a Chapter that prizes the wolf as totem and kin. His campaigns have carried him across Fenris and into the wider wars fought by the Chapter under Logan Grimnar, Great Wolf and master of the Fang, alongside fellow Great Company commanders such as Ragnar Blackmane.

Bran Redmaw’s standing rests less on any single battle than on what he represents: the Space Wolves’ claim to be as much wolf as man, a claim the Chapter’s rivals often mistake for savagery rather than discipline. He is counted among the Great Company commanders active in the Chapter’s present era, answering to Logan Grimnar at the Fang on Fenris alongside Ragnar Blackmane and the other lords who hold the system and its wider hunting-grounds against the Imperium’s enemies.
