Annika Jarlsdottyr

Annika Jarlsdottyr is a Fenris-born inquisitor of the Ordo Malleus, the Inquisitorial branch charged with countering daemonic threats. She retains the speech patterns of her native world.

Her recorded service includes an investigation of a possessed governor on Cheth. She later became involved in the aftermath of the Armageddon conflict, which developed into The Emperor’s Gift, a massacre of the people who had survived Angron. When Kysnaros brought a fleet to Fenris in order to pressure the Space Wolves, she served in the delegation that had to account for its conduct to Bjorn the Fell-Handed. Her Fenrisian origin did not make the exchange easier, but it meant the delegation was not composed wholly of outsiders.

She pursues daemons without assuming that the Inquisition’s administrative record is freer from corruption than the warp, the realm associated with daemons. Her outlook derived first from Fenris, and her association with the Grey Knights later confirmed it.
