Canis Wolfborn

Canis Wolfborn is champion of the Deathwolves, a Fenrisian raised by wolves in the wilds until Harald Deathwolf found a boy who already knew the pack better than any jarl. The Chapter did not civilise him. It issued him plate and a Thunderwolf and told him to keep doing what the mountains taught.

He fights as Harald's fang: first in, last to leave, and uninterested in the politics of the Great Companies. Other Wolves tell stories about him as if he were a spirit of the Fang that learned to hold a chainblade. Canis does not tell stories. He hunts.

Fenris produces many kinds of killer. Canis is the kind that never quite joined the hall, even after the hall gave him a name. The wolves still recognise him. That is the part the Rout finds useful, and the part it does not try to explain to outsiders.
