Khalid Hassan
Chosen of Malcador
Also known as One of the Chosen
Khalid Hassan is a mortal operative counted among the Chosen, a covert cadre assembled by Malcador the Sigillite during the Siege of Terra.
He is attested in accounts of the siege as one of a small number of agents whom Malcador drew together for tasks unsuited to the open deployment of the Legio Custodes or the Space Marine Legions — missions of stealth, infiltration, and quiet removal conducted within and around the Imperial Palace as the Warmaster Horus’s forces closed on Terra. The Chosen are described as mortals of varied skill rather than a single corps, bound to the Sigillite’s direct service, and Khalid Hassan’s place among them is recorded without a fuller continuous biography of his earlier career. His individual missions during the siege are not set out in detail, consistent with the deliberately clandestine nature of the Chosen’s work.
His significance lies chiefly in that direct service to Malcador the Sigillite at the heart of the siege of Terra in 014.M31, placing him alongside the Imperial Palace’s wider defenders — among them the Legio Custodes, the Sisters of Silence, and Rogal Dorn’s Imperial Fists — even though his own record remains that of a background operative rather than a named commander. No account of his fate beyond the siege has been preserved, and his status thereafter is unrecorded.
