Crezia Berschilde

Crezia Berschilde is a medicae who served as a companion and physician to Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn, based on Gudrun.

Accounts of Eisenhorn’s early career on Gudrun record Berschilde as a medicae who came into his service and subsequently accompanied him as a member of his retinue. In this capacity she is described as attending to the medical needs of Eisenhorn and his agents during the course of his inquisitorial duties, a role that persisted across the later, more turbulent phases of his career as his retinue expanded and its work grew increasingly clandestine. Her position placed her among the small circle of non-combatant specialists who sustained Eisenhorn’s household through years of investigation into heretical and xenos threats.

Berschilde is not recorded as a combatant or an investigator in her own right, and her standing rests on her consistent presence within Eisenhorn’s retinue rather than on any independent command or rank. As such, she is representative of the auxiliary medicae personnel who supported Inquisitorial operations without holding formal authority within the Ordos, and later tradition holds her as one of the more enduring members of Eisenhorn’s household across the span of accounts concerning his life.
