Godwyn Fischig
Arbitrator, Acolyte
Also known as Fischig
Godwyn Fischig was an Arbitrator on Hubris who joined Eisenhorn after the Eyeclone case and spent the rest of his life discovering that the Inquisition is worse than a riot. He was the conscience in the retinue, the one who still believed in law after the law had left the building.
He followed Eisenhorn toward Cherubael, toward Glaw, and toward a piety that turned into a cassock. In the end his body was the cage Eisenhorn used for the daemon, which is a friendship the Arbites do not put on recruiting posters.
Fischig wanted a straight line through a crooked war. The line ended in a host-body, and other people now say his name when they mean the daemon.
