Rotigus

Rotigus, called the Rainfather, is a Great Unclean One of Nurgle who bestows abundance until it becomes a flood. He is also styled the Generous One. His gifts take the form of rain and plenty, and their excess drowns those who receive them.

Ku’gath held second place in Nurgle’s favour until he disobeyed and died on Iax. Rotigus took that position thereafter. He sends rain to maiden worlds, to hive worlds, and to any location where a harvest may decay into worship. The Harlequins of the Frozen Stars once danced one such flood back into clean water. Rotigus appeared at Vigilus during the War of Beasts. On Macragge, he appeared in the Library of Ptolemy, where he tempted a historian toward Imperium Secundus.

Rotigus does not need a cauldron to end a civilisation. A wet season and a population that gives thanks for his gifts are sufficient.
