Ku’gath

Ku’gath the Plaguefather is a Great Unclean One of Nurgle who develops new plagues and, until the Plague Wars, ranked first in the god’s favour. He fell into Nurgle’s cauldron as a mite and emerged as a chemist. His aim is to produce a plague to which even the gods would succumb.

On Parmenio, Ku’gath bottled the blood of Roboute Guilliman, and he completed the Godblight. He disregarded an order to withdraw to the Scourge Stars, judging that Iax offered a better laboratory. A Cadian tank commander rammed him and drove a power sword through his skull. The cauldron shard was lost with him.

Rotigus found his remains in the Warp and informed him that Nurgle was no longer amused. Ku’gath is expected to return with a more dangerous formulation, but he has not regained Nurgle’s favour.
