John Grammaticus

John Grammaticus is a Perpetual psyker, a veteran of Unification who sold his long life to the Cabal because they promised a species-level trick: let Horus win, and Chaos would burn out with humanity. It was a monstrous plan. It did not work. He spent the Heresy trying to steer primarchs into that fire anyway.

He recruited Ollanius, hunted fulgurite, walked Macragge, and kept surviving interviews that should have been funerals. Eldrad's war on the Cabal left him unemployed and still immortal. On Terra he joined Oll's last march, argued with Actae, and lived long enough to watch the Emperor take the Throne.

He leaves string for his future selves. That is either hope or a man who has learned not to trust a single century with the truth.
