Gendor Skraivok

Gendor Skraivok was a captain of the Night Lords Traitor Legion who led a contingent of the VIIIth Legion in Horus’s host at the Siege of Terra. He belonged to the Legion raised on Nostramo under the primarch Konrad Curze, and after the Legion’s turn against the Emperor he is recorded as one of its senior commanders in the Traitor cause. Some later tradition also counts him among the Night Lords’ Chaos lords, though the details of that standing are not firmly established.

During the Horus Heresy the Night Lords did not fight as a single unified force in the war against Terra. Skraivok is recorded as leading the disparate Night Lords elements that joined the Warmaster’s muster at Ullanor after the Battle of Beta-Garmon, where they were gathered alongside the six Legions under their primarchs and a Word Bearers contingent under Zardu Layak. These forces then took part in the Solar War and in the assault on Terra itself, where the Night Lords served as a subordinate part of Horus’s armies rather than under Curze’s direct command. The Legion’s later association with Tsagualsa, a world it held and abandoned by the 32nd Millennium, is the map anchor most often linked to its Chaos-era history, but accounts differ on how directly Skraivok is tied to that world.

His fate after the Siege is not settled: he is listed among the Traitor commanders on Terra as missing in action, and no account confirms his death or survival. Skraivok’s importance lies chiefly in showing how the Night Lords were represented at the climax of the Heresy, alongside contemporaries such as Horus, Perturabo, Zardu Layak, Ezekyle Abaddon and, on the loyalist side, Rogal Dorn. His timeline binding is the final phase of the Heresy, from the muster at Ullanor to the fighting on Terra, and the Night Lords, Terra, Tsagualsa and the Siege of Terra are his principal neighbours in the Orrery graph.
