Eisenhorn versus House Glaw was a confrontation that turned the noble estates of Gudrun into a war zone before the capital was transferred. It set Eisenhorn against House Glaw and the cult led by Pontius Glaw, and it was fought within the aristocratic households of Gudrun’s court. Three parties converged on Gudrun during the conflict: Pontius Glaw’s cult, the enforcers of Gorgone Locke, and the puritan pressure exerted by Commodus Voke. The court continued to behave as though etiquette could preserve it. In the event, the fighting consumed noble houses and their retainers. The conflict also ended the conventions on which Gudrun’s rule had relied. Glaw was not permanently suppressed, and Gudrun did not remain the capital.
