Eisenhorn’s Helican confrontation with House Glaw turned Gudrun’s noble estates into a war zone. Pontius Glaw’s cult, Gorgone Locke’s enforcers, and Commodus Voke’s puritan pressure all collided while the capital still pretended etiquette could save it. The confrontation spent houses, retainers, and the last polite fictions of Gudrun’s court. Glaw did not stay buried. Gudrun did not stay capital.
