Indomitus Crusade Fleet Septimus
Indomitus Crusade Fleet Septimus is a battlefleet of the Indomitus Crusade, sent from Terra to relieve territory severed by the Cicatrix Maledictum. It was raised in the years following 999.M41, when the opening of the Great Rift split the Imperium into the Imperium Sanctus and the Imperium Nihilus and left countless worlds cut off from Terra. Under the overarching command of Roboute Guilliman, Lord Commander of the Imperium, hundreds of such numbered fleets were assembled at Terra and Mars, combining newly raised Primaris reinforcements for the Adeptus Astartes with elements of the Imperial Navy and the Astra Militarum, before being dispatched across the Imperium to restore contact with isolated sectors and hold the line against the unrest the Rift had unleashed. Fleet Septimus is recorded among the crusade’s numbered battlegroups assigned to the Imperium Sanctus, the portion of the galaxy that retained a link to Terra through the Astronomican, rather than to the harder passage into the Imperium Nihilus beyond the Rift. Its service followed the broader crusade’s pattern of relief, garrison, and reconquest rather than a single decisive battle, and its precise order of battle and the sectors it traversed are not fully catalogued — a gap consistent with the scale of the Indomitus Crusade, which dispersed its component fleets across thousands of warzones at once.
