The Post-Rift Chaos assaults on Gudrun were attacks by Chaos forces on the feudal world of Gudrun in the Thracian Primaris system. Gudrun is governed by noble houses and was formerly the capital of the Helican region. It is associated with the Gudrunite Rifles, its regiments. The available record does not give the dates, participants or outcomes of the assaults. Chaos had already affected Gudrun before these attacks. The Chaos cult of House Glaw was exposed there, and Inquisitor Eisenhorn infiltrated the Glaw estates. Gorgone Locke’s tortures and Commodus Voke’s purge affected the same bloodlines, while the Pontius crystal remained off-world. In the period of Inquisitor Ravenor, contractors such as Orfeo Culzean continued to treat Gudrun as a usable location for conflicts connected with the Cognitae. The exposure of House Glaw reduced Gudrun’s prestige, and Thracian Primaris assumed the functions of capital in 241.M41. Gudrun retained the Gudrunite Rifles, the effects of these events and the casefile on House Glaw, which together form the basis of its standing. The assaults are therefore best understood as a further episode in the world’s long association with Chaos-related conflict.
