Ulrik the Slayer is a Wolf Priest of the Space Wolves, the old fang who watched Logan Grimnar kill his way out of a frozen sea and decided the Chapter could use another king. He has mentored more sagas than most priests live to hear, and he still carries a crozius as if the next recruit might need to see it used.
He is old enough that the Fang treats him as furniture with opinions. Ragnar, Logan, and a string of dead heroes all have his fingerprints on their rise. The Wolf Time is a story he has been preparing other people to survive.
Slayer is not a boast. It is the job he did before he started making more Slayers.
