Ogvai Ogvai Helmschrot was Jarl of Tra, the Space Wolves Third, one of the first Fenrisians Russ raised into the Rout rather than a Terran leftover with a new pelt. He took that company to Prospero, through Alaxxes, into Trisolian, and onto the butcher's snow at Yarant.

Helmschrot was a jarl of the old ice: present for every humiliation the Wolves collected after Prospero, still standing when the pack needed someone who remembered the first winter. The Heresy used him as a constant, which is a cruel job in a Legion of sagas.

Aeska Brokenlip took the Third after him. Ogvai's own last page is not a death-saga, only a succession, which Fenris treats as almost the same thing. The jarl who had been first became a name the new jarl had to out-howl.
