Fafnir Rann

Fafnir Rann was an Imperial Fists lord seneschal who went to war with an axe in each hand and a grin the Siege could not sand off. Inwit taught him that walls are an argument. Dorn taught him which walls were allowed to fall. He held stretches of Terra that doctrine had already written off.

After the Heresy he became first Chapter Master of the Executioners, which is a polite name for the work he was already doing: boarding actions, axe-work, the kind of loyalty that looks like a massacre from the other trench. The Fists split. Rann did not become smaller.

He is the reminder that Dorn's sons were never only stonemasons. Some of them liked the edge.
