Mesucon

Mesucon was the Siridar Count of House Megron, a Tallarn-born Imperial Knight who took a household engine into the armoured war on Tallarn. His noble rank belonged to a feudal order that had lost its courtly setting on the planet. He attempted to give the conventions of that order practical meaning in a desert campaign that destroyed many houses.

Knights on Tallarn were both prominent features of the skyline and conspicuous targets. House Megron fought under those conditions: large enough to affect the outcome, too slow to avoid pursuit, and unwilling to remain in a vault while the Army expended its last armour.

The record does not close his file. On Tallarn, a designation of ‘missing’ often indicates only that the desert retained the banner. House Megron continued to list a Count, and the Khedive did not confirm whether the engine returned to a hold that still existed.
