Phosis T'Kar

Phosis T’Kar was a captain of the Thousand Sons Legion during the Horus Heresy, a practitioner of the Corvidae cult of Prospero.

As a captain of the XV Legion, Phosis T’Kar held rank among the officer cadre serving directly under the primarch Magnus the Red. He is associated with the Corvidae, one of the cult organisations into which the Thousand Sons’ sanctioned psykers were divided according to the discipline of sorcery each pursued; the Corvidae specialised in divination and the foresight of future events. In this capacity he is recorded as one of the Legion’s senior practitioners of prescient sorcery, a role that placed him close to the Legion’s command councils in the years before the Heresy, including the period of scrutiny that followed the Council of Nikaea’s restrictions on the use of psychic powers. He is further recorded among those present on Prospero when the primarch’s continued defiance of the Emperor’s edict brought the Space Wolves and allied forces to the world, an event later known as the Burning of Prospero.

Phosis T’Kar is remembered as one of the more senior Corvidae officers of the Thousand Sons Legion, his standing resting on his mastery of divinatory sorcery and his closeness to the Legion’s command structure during the Heresy. Later tradition holds that he was among the Thousand Sons who survived the destruction of Prospero and the subsequent working known as the Rubric of Ahriman, though accounts of his fate and subsequent activities beyond that period vary and remain contested in the historical record.
