Revuel Arvida

Revuel Arvida was a Thousand Sons sergeant of the Fourth Fellowship who rode with the White Scars after Prospero, repeating all is dust like a ward against a change that had already started. He was not Janus yet. He was a red-armoured refugee trying to stay a man while the Wolves' work and the warp both had other plans.

Malcador's ritual on Terra fused him with a shard of Magnus. The thing that walked out of that working took the name Janus and later the first Supreme Grand Master's seat of the Grey Knights. The Thousand Sons name is the one this record keeps, because the fusion did not erase the sergeant. It used him.

Arvida asked to remain himself. The Sigillite needed a weapon that could hunt what Arvida had fled. Janus is the compromise history prefers. Revuel Arvida is the man who paid for it. The dust he named is still in the title.
