Hathor Maat

Hathor Maat was Magister Templi of the Pavoni and captain of the Thousand Sons Third Fellowship, a biomancer who treated his own face as a work of art. He voted for the Rubric to stop the flesh-change because a Legion of dust seemed cleaner than a Legion of mutations. The spell took him at his word.

Prospero burned first. Maat survived the Wolves, survived the flight, and still believed Ahriman's cabal could freeze the Legion in a shape worth keeping. The Pavoni had always been about the body. The Rubric decided the body was optional.

He went to dust with the rest of the unshielded. Ahriman kept his own skin and a millennium of regret. Maat got neither. Tizca's pretty captain is a caution the Thousand Sons still walk past without reading: vote for a miracle, become the medium.
