Ezrah

Ezrah is a trooper of the Tanith First-and-Only Regiment, an Astra Militarum formation in the Gaunt’s Ghosts series set during the Sabbat Worlds Crusade.

The Tanith First-and-Only was raised from the world of Tanith on the day that world was destroyed by the forces of Chaos under Anarch Sek, leaving its soldiers among the few survivors of their homeworld. Commanded by Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt, the regiment served as line infantry across numerous campaigns of the Sabbat Worlds Crusade. Ezrah is recorded among the regiment’s rank-and-file personnel; as with many troopers named across the series’ many volumes, detailed record of individual postings, promotions, or ultimate fate is not firmly established, and the degree of prominence given to minor characters varies between instalments.

Ezrah’s inclusion reflects the ensemble character of the Gaunt’s Ghosts narrative, which follows a large and shifting cast of Tanith First-and-Only personnel rather than a single protagonist.
