Major Feygor

Major Feygor is an officer of the Tanith First-and-Only regiment, a close associate of Major Rawne within the Astra Militarum. He is a native of the former Nalwood world of Tanith, whose population was resettled as the founding cadre of the regiment following the planet’s destruction.

Feygor is recorded among the original company of Tanith officers who served under Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt during the regiment’s early campaigns, and he is associated in particular with the faction loyal to Elim Rawne, a fellow officer whose rivalry with Gaunt shaped much of the regiment’s internal politics in its formative years. Accounts of the regiment’s campaign history record that Feygor sustained a serious wound to the jaw and throat, after which he relied on a mechanical vocaliser to speak, a device that subsequently marked his distinctive rasping voice in later accounts of the unit. He went on to hold the rank of major, continuing to serve in a close working relationship with Rawne as the latter rose through the regiment’s command structure.

Within the recorded history of the Tanith First-and-Only, Feygor stands as one of the regiment’s longer-serving officers, illustrating the persistence of the original Tanith cadre through successive campaigns. He functions chiefly as a supporting figure attached to Rawne’s command rather than as an independent protagonist, and his standing derives primarily from his continuity as one of the regiment’s founding survivors.
