Tollen Beltayn

Tollen Beltayn is a trooper of the Tanith First-and-Only Regiment, serving as vox-officer and adjutant to Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt.

Beltayn appears from the early campaigns of the Sabbat Worlds Crusade narrative as a member of the Tanith First-and-Only, the Astra Militarum regiment raised from the destroyed forest world of Tanith. He is attached to the regimental command staff, where his principal duties involve operating vox (voice-communication) equipment and coordinating signal traffic between Gaunt and subordinate units in the field. Over the course of the regiment’s campaigns across the Sabbat Worlds, he functions as Gaunt’s adjutant, handling correspondence, logistics and the practical administration of the command staff, and is recorded as accompanying Gaunt on numerous operations.

Within the narrative tradition of the Tanith First-and-Only, Beltayn is counted among the small group of ’originals’ who survive from the regiment’s earliest engagements, and his continued presence on the command staff marks him as one of Gaunt’s more consistently trusted subordinates.
