Dorden

Dorden was chief medic of the Tanith First and Only, a doctor who enlisted so he could keep Tanith men alive after the world itself had already died. He hated guns, hated waste, and treated Gaunt's Ghosts like a practice that never closed.

Gereon, Herodor, and the long Sabbat trail used him up. Cancer finished the argument in Salvation's Reach while the regiment was still finding new ways to need a doctor. His son Mikal died in the colours first. Dorden stayed until the work did not.

The Ghosts still talk about him in the present tense when someone is bleeding. That is the only statue a medic gets.
