Suboden Khan

Suboden Khan is the First Khan of the White Scars and Master of the Spearpoint Brotherhood, serving as the designated successor to Great Khan Jubal. He assumed this office after Huron’s invasion of the home world of Chogoris mortally wounded the previous First Khan, Jurga, necessitating Jurga’s permanent interment within a Dreadnought—an armoured cybernetic walker that sustains fallen combatants.

Suboden campaigned on Armageddon before the conflict on Chogoris. In battle, he commands from Thunder, an anti-gravity combat cycle gifted by Cawl, and carries the glaive Stormtooth beneath his arm in accordance with millennia of First Khan custom. Within the Chapter’s War Council, he exercises the authority to convene the kurultai, the traditional assembly of commanders that coordinates military strategy.

Although Jubal formally remains Great Khan, his failing physical condition prevents him from mounting a saddle, requiring Suboden to conduct the leadership duties Jubal can no longer discharge. The other Khans accept this succession without grievance, maintaining the Chapter’s unity while forces engage Ork adversaries on the riverbanks.
