Shiban Khan

Shiban Khan of the Brotherhood of the Storm was the White Scar who boarded his own flagship to stop a lodge coup, then discovered the Heresy had more uses for a loyal rider than a clean conscience. He was the ordu's idea of a proper son of Chogoris until the war scarred him into a different man and still put him on Terra's walls.

The lodges had promised brotherhood. Shiban answered with a boarding action. After that he carried the wound in his face and in the way he spoke to Torghun, to Yesugei, to anyone who still thought the Stormseers could talk a Legion back into one piece.

He fought the Siege as a khan who had already buried half his assumptions. The White Scars got to the Palace because men like Shiban kept riding after the reason had died. His later trail is dust. The Brotherhood of the Storm is the part that stayed on the page.
