Holguin

Holguin was voted-lieutenant of the Dark Angels Deathwing, the storm-wing's counterpart to Redloss's destroyers. He fought the Heresy as the Lion's heavy hammer: Terminators, stubbornness, and the Inner Circle's habit of treating a battlefield as a locked room. Where Corswain was the seneschal's blade, Holguin was the door that did not open.

He hunted Curze across Ultramar's shadow and stood the kind of engagements the Deathwing was invented for: no witnesses, no retreat, no interest in the songs other Orders would sing. The Lion needed a lieutenant who would not ask whether the method was pretty. Holguin did not ask.

Caliban later ate the Legion's certainty. Holguin's trail after the Siege is Inner Circle quiet, which is to say either a grave or a vault. The Deathwing still fights as if he wrote the standing orders. Maybe he did.
