Omegon
Primarch of the XX Legion
Also known as Alpharius Omegon, Alpharius
Omegon was the twin of Alpharius and, with him, primarch of the Alpha Legion. For much of the Great Crusade his existence was hidden even from most of his own sons, the twins presenting a single public face under the name Alpharius. One tradition, Head of the Hydra, places his early years alone on an empty, nameless world, where he came to understand himself as a manufactured being and recovered the xenos weapon later called the Pale Spear, before making his way toward Imperial space and reuniting with Alpharius. Other Imperial records barely distinguish him from his brother at all. No homeworld is firmly attested for either twin.
Omegon’s personal presence is recorded most clearly in the Heresy war against the Raven Guard. Concealed on Kiavahr, he directed the infiltration of Corax’s gene-laboratories at Ravendelve, fomented rebellion among Kiavahr’s tech-guilds as a diversion, and himself recovered gene-tech and data from those laboratories. Separately, he ordered the destruction of the Alpha Legion’s Tenebrae Station — a pylon facility jamming White Scars communications during the Chondax Campaign — by sending Sheed Ranko and Effrit operatives on a suicide mission while he remained aboard the battle-barge Beta; in that account Alpharius was not told the true purpose of the strike.
In the account given by Praetorian of Dorn, Alpharius was killed by Rogal Dorn on Pluto’s moon Hydra; Omegon is held to have sensed that death and taken up the Alpharius name for the Legion’s remaining war. One account of the Traitor muster at Ullanor describes a lone figure under that name delivering a detailed map of Sol’s defences to Horus, shattering a dagger at the Warmaster’s feet, and departing; whether that figure was Omegon cannot be proved from the outside. Post-Heresy tradition places a duel with Roboute Guilliman on Eskrador in which a primarch answering to Alpharius was slain; many within the Legion hold that it was Omegon who fell there, while others maintain that he survived. His later status is unknown.

Key engagements
- Meeting of Alpharius and Horus (Head of the Hydra holds that Omegon, using the Alpharius name, was the twin who boarded the Vengeful Spirit and presented himself to Horus.)
- Battle of Eskrador (Some Alpha Legion accounts hold that Omegon was the twin slain by Guilliman on Eskrador; others maintain he survived.)
- Battle of Ravendelve (Omegon, concealed on Kiavahr, directed the Ravendelve strike and personally recovered Raven Guard gene-tech and laboratory data.)
- Muster at Ullanor (After Pluto, one account holds that Omegon, under the Alpharius name, alone gave Horus the Sol defence map at the Traitor muster.)
